Why it exists
A place to begin—and build together.
Starting research independently can be exciting and intimidating. Without a lab around you, it is difficult to find people who understand the question, can challenge an experiment, or simply want to build alongside you.
Gianluigi Vitale created Enneper AI from that experience. The group is a meeting place for independent researchers to share early work, form small project teams, and turn promising questions into reproducible public research.
An institutional affiliation is welcome, but never required.
Why Enneper?
A mathematical name for complex structure.
Enneper AI takes its name from the Enneper surface, a classical minimal surface in differential geometry. Its compact definition produces a structure with nontrivial global form—an apt symbol for finding clarity in complex computational systems.
The name reflects an interest in mathematically grounded questions, careful measurement, and structures that become understandable when viewed from the right representation.
